Skittle was high on his success for the third day in a row. He had completely turned the record company around after six bad quarters. Signing all four of those bands that sounded exactly like Mumford and Sons was the salvo, a real stroke of genius on his part. If there was anyone who knew this record business, it was him, dammit.
Oh my god, this is the most amazing blog ever. “Didn’t we meet on a yacht?” - Jason Segal’s character on an episode of How I Met Your Mother once
Uh oh, I think I got my mom addicted to Candy Crush too. Good thing she doesn’t have Facebook or an iPhone.
Thanks, y’all! As far as I know, Digg has not rolled out their reader yet and I don’t think I’m allowed to download Linux on my work computer. But! The cloud Feedly (which had previously not been working/the browser add-on version was and is still just a blank screen) is now working? It froze a few times while logging in before it actually got through that, but it is now working and it’s purple (!!!) and I’m super happy.
Google Reader alternatives?
It’s almost July 1st and I am f-r-e-a-k-i-n-g out about Google Reader being shut down. Feedly doesn’t work on my browser at work and The Old Reader is super slow. Does anyone have any alternative RSS feed reader they like? Or know when Digg is supposed to release their reader? I will even pay for one. I am going crazy.
Yeah, so deleting twitter? That happened.
A) Jami Attenberg's The Middlesteins is one of the best books I’ve read lately. Go read it. Right now. Why are you still reading this?
B) Last night I saw her read at the Slaughterhouse 90210 fourth anniversary party and before her reading, she was joking around about how sad she gets when her gchat buddies aren’t online to talk to all day and I tooootally get that because Chloe wasn’t online today or yesterday and it’s killing me.
Terrell Suggs is my favorite person on the whole internet.
The number of unread articles in my New York folder on Google Reader made me laugh today.
Very important. Thank you for letting me know, Gmail.
DMX finally learned how to google himself. It’s 2012.
