Last year I cried into a glass of Jim Beam in my friend’s living room in New York when the Ravens lost to the Pats; last October I cried into a whiskey ginger in a bar in Los Angeles when the Orioles lost to the Yankees; last Sunday I cried into a glass of champagne in my parents’ basement in Maryland when the Ravens won the superbowl.
