I saw these shelves on Apartment Therapy a few days ago and immediately started reading the shelf-maker’s blog and sent the link to Joe because I thought they looked amazing and I want to build similar ones someday when I’m more settled (or at least planning to live somewhere for more than 5 years). Apparently commenters on AT were hatin’ on them, which I think is nuts: how can you tell someone ”at least style the bookcases better”? You can sort your bookshelves however you want, but don’t tell other people how to sort their shelves! I personally sort mine alphabetically by author, but if you wanna sort your books chronologically or by color or by how much you liked them, go ahead.
Don’t know how I missed this when it was posted in September, but oh man, I really like the whole desk next to couch with shelves on shelves on shelves above it all. Such a perfect room. (via design*sponge)
Oh my god, the wood paneling on just the one wall!!!! So cute! (via apartment therapy)
You guys, this bookshelf. (via design*sponge)
Dream window, y’all! (via apartment therapy)
Everything about this house tour is perfect, from the snow-covered exterior to the fact that the stuff above the desk “includ[es] a Lifter Puller show coaster from 1998, the night of our first date." (via design*sponge)
This kitchen is so perfect. (via design*sponge)
Yet again, I prefer the “before” picture on Apartment Therapy.
Oh hey, I think I have these sheets (what up, Kohl’s!) and I think I’m in love with this bedroom. (via design*sponge)
I love that although this apartment is super put together and nice it still looks like a real, attainable level of nice and not overly fancy like some of the places on that blog. My favorite part though is obviously this picture of the couple who lives there with their cat because aww! (via apartment therapy)
Now that I know (ish) how to make lattes, I kind of want an espresso machine. Not enough to spend $100+ on one, but this is so cute and orange. (via apartment therapy)
This looks so freakin’ cozy. (via design*sponge)
What does it say about me that I prefer the before picture of this remodeled kitchen? (via apartment therapy)
