Holy shit Fischer Price. It’s funny how I had the exact same immediate thoughts on seeing this picture as the guy who wrote about it on Mental Floss: omg the way the gas pump fit in the car, omg the way the elevator got harder to push as you got toward the top and the ding and omg just how much fun that slide looked. There is definitely a picture of me as a very small child sitting on this because although it was mostly my favorite toy, it was also my favorite seat? Mine might have been a late-80’s version, but my cousins’ mid-70’s version looked exactly the same, just worn out in different ways.
Also, my grandparents had the plane and I would drag it by its string around their apartment and occasionally crash it into the sink and then have a bystander save the passengers from drowning. Also, the girl in the bottom row, second from the left in this picture was my favorite one because she had short brown hair like me and I liked the color of her dress-thing.
